How Is the Bio-Meridian Assessment Performed?
A Bio-Meridian assessment is the use of certain instruments to measure the body’s energy balance through the acupuncture points on the hands and feet. Bio-Meridian points are related to different organs and body systems according to traditional Chinese medicine, and this is supported by contemporary technology. The procedure involves a hand-held probe that briefly touches each point and measures the body’s reaction to it. A computer shows the results and gives the practitioner an instant reading of possible energy blockages or excesses.
What equipment is used during the process?
The main components of the system include a testing device, a computer, a probe, and a grounding electrode. The grounding electrode is usually held by the client while the practitioner uses the probe to touch certain points on the skin.
The device evaluates how well the electrical current can move through the body tissues and then determines whether it is within the normal reference ranges. The procedure is completely non-invasive, free from the use of needles, punctures, or tissue samples. The system is intended to be soft yet accurate, providing on-the-spot feedback for each point tested.
Are there any pains or invasions involved?
The assessment is non-invasive and is not done through the skin or any internal procedure. Most individuals who have taken the assessment are usually unable to find anything unpleasant about it. A few people might feel a slight tingling sensation when the probe comes in contact with the skin, but it is very short, and the vast majority find it tolerable.
The electrical current is very low, so it is fully safe for most people, including children and elderly people. Patients with medical implants such as pacemakers should have their doctors’ permission before going through this examination.
How long is the assessment generally?
Typically, a Bio-Meridian session is about 30 to 60 minutes. The length is variable based on the number of points to be tested, and whether there is a discussion of the results after the testing. The performance of the actual point testing is very fast; however, practitioners usually take additional time to clarify their results, answer questions, and recommend the next steps that the clients may follow for their well-being.
Quite a few clients feel that the time and process are both efficient and effective; thus, it is very convenient to have a health check as part of their normal routine without long appointments.
